We had a small hiccup with the minutes from the previous AGM today. You can view them here in PDF format. We will be confirming these minutes at the April meeting. I hope to be able to upload both the minutes from today's meeting and the complete list of proposed charity donations in the next few days.
Our congratulations go to our newly elected committee - Pip, Ali, Charmaine, Terri, Melanie, Heather, Caroline, Annette and Christine. It was refreshing to see a full slate of committee members without anyone having their arm too severely twisted!
Our committee will need you help to do their jobs during the year, so if you have any ideas for social events or fundraising, or would like to help the Welfare team, the fundraising ladies, the social or welcoming team, do please contact us!
Christine, our Welcoming Chairperson would like volunteers to host an Open House event (hostesses just have to provide the venue and drinks, members bring the nibbles) - please get in touch if you might be able to help.
Rachel will soon be starting work on the new Year Book, so if you have any changes to your contact details please let Terri (our Treasurer) know as soon as possible so that these can be updated in the book.

The Jubilee Ball was a glittering occasion! Wonderful decorations courtesy Brian MacFarlane, very civilised music, surprise appearance by Wendell Constantine, lots of door prizes, raffle and silent auction.
We had a nice write up by Anne Hilton (past UKWC president) in Newsday.
Lots of photos in our Photo Album.

Lance-Corporal Andrew “Piper” Parsons gives the children of the Princess Elizabeth Centre a musical treat. Parsons and Brian MacFarlane will be guests at a gala fund-raising Diamond Jubilee Ball at the Hyatt Regency, Port of Spain, on June 9 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation. Parsons has been flown in especially for the event and has been loaned to the UK Women’s Club by the London Scottish Regimental Band. Photo: Abraham Diaz.
